The 6 day Direct Access / A2 course is designed for someone who may have ridden either:
- Extensively but some time ago.
- Recently done a CBT on a geared motorcycle (within 4 months) and is looking to progress to take their test
- Ridden geared motorcycles recently (either off road, abroad or on private ground)
If you are unsure of your needs please dont hesitate to contact us to discuss them at length with us. It is always better to err on the side of caution and book a course longer than you think is necessary. We will always advance your riding throughout the course. We do not sit on our laurels and relax because you are showing good levels of competence, we will enhance them further.
It is advantageous if you currently drive and have ridden a bicycle. If you do not drive or have not ridden a bicycle before it is necessary to discuss this with us beforehand so that we can evaluate your individual needs.
The structure of the course is laid out as follows:
Day 1: Either CBT or road riding on a geared 125cc
Day 2: Introduction to the larger motorcycle (either G650 GS for A2 or F700 GS for Direct Access) This is done once again on our training area and then once competent out on the roads
Days 3 - 6: Every day we cover extra elements of theory and practical training to ensure that the skills required to ride safely are embeded and applied. Your module 2 test will be on the last day.
Every day we discuss the plans for that day and review progress with you at the end of the day to ensure you are fully aware of your progress. This is a fun, enjoyable course which starts at a gentle pace and progresses at a speed commiserate to your needs.
